Kevin. Because he now lives in Buffalo, and because he bothered me today on twitter about my previous illustration of his having a flat-top… I drew his ass, LMAO. Kevin is an awesome guy, he runs http://weefolio.com , http://fancylabs.com and http://kevinjohngomez.com . He is a designer I have had the pleasure of working with at dwaiter.com before he left for some job off in brooklyn.

I have also recorded a time-lapse animation of me creating this piece… it took about an hour and 10 minutes from start to finish. I will be posting that soon as well.

Luke (2/28/2010). Luke is a coworker at Dumbwaiter Design. A Motion graphics and storyboarding master, Luke handles a lot of our motion graphics work. Amit (1/24/2010). Being sunday and all, I was in the mood for some big baller status type imagery. I present to you Amit! Amit is currently Owner/ Operator of Elevation financial consulting. If you got some big bucks, and need them to be fiscally dope…Amit is the man to get your dividends multiplying like some bunny rabbits. (note: I have no idea if my last statement made any sense).

Amit is a great friend of mine, met him through Dumbwaiter Design, where is his our part-time controller. Always with a smile, and a great conversation, Amit is just the most sincere, and greatest person to grab a drink with.

Marc. (1/22/2010) Former Dumbwaiter Design member and RIT Alum, Marc is a Web Developer and entrepreneur living in the DC area. Since Marc was the first to suggest that I start posting my sketches on a tumblr blog, it was inevitable that I would be posting him up.

Marc is a very energetic and driven individual who has an affinity for great mexican food (Paola’s Anyone). One of the founders of College Blender, a college blogging network. He is currently looking for a full time dev position in the NYC area.

Bonus for today (1/19/2010), since today I am putting aside my flash dev hat, and working on the newest member of Dumbwaiter Design’s team profile illustration … I figured I should post it. This is a little bit different process than most of my sketches on this blog, but still all done in illustrator and all vector… just more refined paths and curve pulling. Steve is our newest developer… big on django, ballroom dancing, photography and overall beautiful code. So far he seems to be great addition to our growing team of designers and developers. We are very excited to put him on!

Self Portrait Saturday! (1/16/10) ok so I made it up… but anyways, I decided for today to do a self portrait. No reason in particular… Just felt it had to be done.

Anywhoo, my Name is Miguel Cardona. I work at Dumbwaiter Design. I am an Interactive Art Director. I make sexy on-screen designs, as well as do a bit of Flash Development, and motion graphics on occasion.  I live on the West Side in Buffalo, NY (The weather is miserable as shit right now). And I spend wayyyy too much time in front of a computer with a wacom tablet in front of me, as you all can see, evidenced by this very blog .

I enjoy looking at beautiful things, drawing in sketchbooks, listening to music, and going running ad biking.
