Erica. It has been an exceptionally long time since I have done a proper Sketchbooked Illustration, I have been busy with Masters Work and Teaching Full time at RIT. Since I started this blog as a means of maintaining my sanity by drawing my friends and loved ones, I figured I might as well do a few once again, regardless of how busy I may be. Since Erica and I have been playing draw something a lot lately, and since she made a birthday request for me to illustrate her, here goes…
Hopefully she will like this… I believe I have been staring too long at this one and I also feel a little bit rusty with my wacom tablet…

Richard Harrow (Boardwalk Empire) Illustration [ UPDATED ].
Today’s Post: Richard Harrow (Boardwalk Empire). [IN PROGRESS]
As of late, I have been obsessed with the HBO show Boardwalk Empire. I am thinking about doing a series of illustrations for each of the main characters. Here is the first in my Series. Richard Harrow is a veteran sniper, and the last person you want to be knocking at your door. As lovable as he is dangerous, he is definitely one of the more intriguing characters in the series. I can’t wait for season 2!
Today’s Illustration: Marcianna, pissed off. I was feeling inspired after my visit to Renaissance Tattoo yesterday ( http://rentattoo.com ). Feeding off the energy of Tom, my tattoo artist who was doing a lot of “get it done and out the door type of artwork” who was initially inspired by my process behind my early sketchbooked posts… I decided to clean off my desk and get to some illustratin’.
Here is an piece which is basically my little sister looking mighty pissed off.

My Cthulhu Crest Work in progress. It’s been a busy week. For a change of pace, Ive been spending some time on a clean pull of a crest / coat of arms featuring everyone’s fav meme of terror, Cthulhu!…
Today’s Post: Robot vs. Flies. OK, let me just preface this post with “ALWAYS SAVE YOUR FILES WHILE YOU ARE WORKING” … just after I completed the Photoshop version of this piece my Macbook pro Kernel Panicked and I lost everything… well except for the time-lapse screen captures… So it wasn’t a total loss, however, I did lose the print quality version of this illustration, and the final vector file… So I am not in a good mood right now…
Scared Ana, Lunchtime Illustration.
Ruth (1/27/2010). Ruth is a NYC based artist, with amazing talent, who’s work with mixed media — painting, sketching, found imagery, silk screening is very inspiring to me. Her art is very tactile, personal, and provocative. With a website that is in sketchbook format, I found it very fitting to create a homage illustration of Ruth on my sketchbooked blog.

Casey! (1/15/10). So the first person to take me up on my “barter me something creative” deal. Casey facebook messaged me and ask for an illustration, in exchange I am getting illustrated by her!!! Woot!
So I know Casey from college. She used to keep me company freshman year when I was night patrolling for my student security job, when I was bored and hanging around “Art House”. I also remember she made me dinner once when I was a starving college kid with zero food debit. Currently she is a great illustrator, and proud mommie. She illustrates childrens books and other fun things…
