Kevin. Because he now lives in Buffalo, and because he bothered me today on twitter about my previous illustration of his having a flat-top… I drew his ass, LMAO. He is a designer I have had the pleasure of working with at dwaiter.com before he left for some job off in brooklyn.

I have also recorded a time-lapse animation of me creating this piece… it took about an hour and 10 minutes from start to finish. I will be posting that soon as well.

Bret (2/02/2010). Bret is an awesome guy, a fellow New Media Designer. I went to college with Bret. Always cracking jokes and with a smile, he can make any situation hilarious.

True Story- one time a bunch of us New Media Peoples went to an FITC conference in Toronto, there were about 10 of us in total as a group. We were walking about downtown TO seeing sights, and somehow we left Bret somewhere. We were all sitting around the hotel room… doing our thing, and someone says “Hey, where is Bret?”, We all shrugged … Soon after we agreed to go find him, but no one takes the initiative … about 20 minutes pass, and Brett shows up like WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?! and we were all like hey, we were just about to go out looking for you.. LOL… he was fine… he didn’t get eaten by a homeless man or anything… Anyways… you had to be there to truly get the hilarity of it all…

(1/19/2010) This is Joe, he used to be one of my residents back in my RA days of college.  We speak mostly online once in a while … I think I know him more by his screen name than anything. I now also recently started following him on twitter. Moet. (1/14/2010) Originally, for my subjects this week, I was sketching people who facebook recommended that I reconnect with.  However, today I didn’t get any recommendations :/. I thought it was weird. So instead, since Moet was kind enough to tell me recently that I should “take a nap”, and that I “suffer from ADHD”… I figured that she was trying to tell me that she secretly wanted me to flaunt her illustrated mug on my blog.

Moet and I go way back to freshman year at RIT. She lived one floor above me, and was a fellow New Media Designer-in-training. I think one of the first people I met in the Design major who had a lot of classes with me. Anywhoo, we helped each other out on projects, and all was good.

We also worked together for a brief stint at Buck & Pulleyn… Where she taught me the fab art of frequent coffee & smoke breaks (tho I didn’t smoke). We still kinda keep up once in a while online, mostly just comments here and there on walls, and twitters. But she has always been keen to listen to my problems, and try and instill more of her free spirited mantra onto me. An amazing graphic designer and artist… I was very highly jealous of her analog skills whilst in school.

Anne. (1/13/2010) This week, I will be posting illustrations of those people that facebook suggests I reconnect with. This is the third installment in that series. I will be posting these sketches on their walls as well.

I met Anne while working at the Advertising Agency Buck & Pulleyn. She is an awesome designer and creative—I have had the pleasure of working with her on several occasions.  Most recently, we were on the board of the Rochester Advertising Federation together - well she still is, I’m not anymore. Farnan. Back in the day, when we were RAs, this kid was off the hook energetic & hilarious. His best qualities are his straightforwardness, sincerity, creativity & insanity  … even tho hes on the other coast, we still keep tabs on each other.  Another awesome Designer friend… ( I seem to have a ton of these )  Farnan is also a master of Dodgeball and photshopping faces onto pretty much anything.

Happy Birthday Roushey! My student at RIT for two freshman classes 5 years ago, formally my intern & sheep mascot. Roushey is an amazing chap.  A genius flash developer, animator, illustrator, programmer… He also has a sense of humor that is on a bit of the dark side and unexpected at times. He currently works at firstborn.

His antics are featured in SOBE’s current website & youtube spots … and he is HILARIOUS.

Geoff. One of my best friends in college, Co-RA, and roommate… Gbro, as he is affectionately called, is a brand unto himself sporting his own stlye of mannerisms, eccentricities, and wordplay. A great designer—hard working, and focused, currently he is rockin’ it out on the west coast and working for IDEO.
